The racing season finished for myself last weekend at Alastaro circuit. Momo Racing Team organised the final National Touring Car Series race. GT Car Open class, race included 6 Porsches, of which 4 were GT3 Cup cars running on slicks, and 2 were road legal tyres 8A/8B class race cars.
Well known Puska’s 944 made a comeback to race tracks, this time driven by 2016 spring debutante. The new driver said he very much enjoyed the race, the atmosphere was welcoming, and first experience with a race car was pleasant. For sure the green liveried 944 will be seen at next year’s club events.
I had not participated Momo Racing events previously. Some thoughts about the occasion:
– The atmosphere was relaxing, welcoming
– autumn weather was chilly
— skiing hat, gloves and a jacket was a must
– the track surface felt slippery during the whole day
– street tyres at GT Cars Open class did not bother other drivers, or at least they wouldn’t say so.
For me this is the 4th season of club races overall. Among those races there are different experiences, and there are substantial mood differences between different events. This year was a 100 % pleasant experience.
